The owners of this Torrance, California ranch-style home had grown tired of their confined 150-square-foot kitchen. The 1990’s design felt dated and closed-off from the rest of the home. We began by eliminating and reconfiguring the previously walled-off dining, living, and family rooms to create a free-flowing space, allowing for a generous amount of light and movement through the custom island dining area and bespoke tiled range alcove.
